No. We teach complete beginners as well as learners who already understand some Chishona. The first session checks what you know so the tutor can pitch lessons correctly.
We teach children from pre school age upwards. Younger learners work through songs, pictures, games and short repetition, while older children move into reading and writing.
Everything runs online, so you can learn from anywhere with an internet connection. Learners join from South Africa, the United Kingdom, North America, Australia and elsewhere.
Most lessons run between thirty and sixty minutes depending on the age of the learner and the programme. We agree the length with you before the first session.
Yes. Many households book a family arrangement so parents and children learn the same material and can practise together at home.
The learner's age, a rough idea of their current level, your preferred days and times, and your time zone. That is enough for us to propose a plan.
Both. Speaking comes first in most programmes, but reading, writing and comprehension are built in, especially in the reading club and the activity booklets.
Lessons stay active. Tutors use songs, rhymes, stories, games and objects around the house so a child is participating rather than listening.
Yes. Groups are arranged by age and level, and we run adult groups separately from children's classes.
Payment details are confirmed when you book. If you need to move a session, tell us in advance and we will rearrange where the tutor's diary allows.
