What this programme covers
Group lessons put learners in a room with other people at the same level. They hear Shona from more than one voice, and they have someone to answer.
Classes are grouped by age and proficiency so nobody is left behind or held back. Sessions run on conversation, games, discussion and structured activities rather than silent listening.
For children this is often the turning point. Speaking stops being a test and becomes something they do with friends. Parents tell us the language starts appearing at home in the same week.
